The weekend of love is upon us. We decided to only have a couple of Valentine's recommendations as we already have a Valentine's Day Events and Specials post, so head on over and check that out for a more complete list of Valentine's related activities. Our weekly recos start as they often do with a great show at Governor's. Friday night brings our top recommendation with hip-hop group City Natives bringing their Red City East Coast Tour to Club 418. This is a great chance to check out a top notch group. Saturday we have a couple of V-Day recommendations as well as a great fundraiser featuring Eddie Cummings in Mabou. Our full list of event's can be found and Music Guide Cape Breton.

- This is our top recommendation for the weekend. A unique show for the Island so a chance to get out and take it some talent you normally wouldn't have the opportunity to see. City Natives put on an excellent high energy show and will be flanked by other great up and coming artists such as Mitchell Bailey, Demikz, Joker and special guest Drezus. Top notch hip-hop, get out and enjoy.

- A great show/great cause event. The Eddie Cummings Band will be rocking Mabou in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. If you are in the area this is a must show.
