Cape Breton Beaches - Favorites - Polar Bear

Sounds a bit chilly doesn't it!  Well Polar Bear does get it's name from the cool ocean waters that pound down on the beach but don't think of it as cold as much as a great place to get cool on hot summers day.  Polar Bear is a bit of a local hideaway, getting down to the beach can be a bit of an issue as there are no stairs down the side of the hill that leads to the beach and the rocky terrain can be tough to navigate.  A railing is in place to assist.  No washrooms or change rooms near by and I would recommend bringing a snack if you plan on staying for awhile but if you are looking for something close to Sydney and still tucked out of the way or just looking for a quick cool down, Polar Bear is the place.
